Why We Offer the Fellowship
Most voice transcription services process audio on remote cloud servers. Those servers exist in jurisdictions, on infrastructure, and under legal frameworks that do not protect source confidentiality. For journalists working in high-risk environments, this creates a concrete threat. A government that can compel a cloud provider to hand over transcription data can identify sources, trace networks, and put lives at risk.
Airgap Voice processes speech entirely on your device. No audio leaves the device. No network connection is used. There is no server, no account, and no telemetry. Your data only exists on your device.
The Freedom of Speech Fellowship provides free lifetime licenses to people at risk for whom this technology is a necessity.

Recipients owe nothing. The license is redeemed either via an Apple redemption code or as an activated standalone binary for offline installation.
